Plant Care - Caladium

Light: Indirect or bright-diffused light outdoors is best.  This is a well-lit location out of direct sun.  Bright light is preferred indoors.
Water: Moderately moist soil is preferred.  Water thoroughly when just the soil surface is dry to the touch.  Do not allow plants to stand in water.
Temperature: Warm - Prefers 70-75 daytime's and 65-70 nights.
Availability: March through August.
Color Range: Red, pink, silver, white, green foliage.
Lasting Quality: Throughout the season.
Key Tips for Success: The Caladiums have foliage that rivals flowers in color and beauty.  They offer bright colorful accent to the low light interior plants cape for a 4.6 week period.  Leaf colors fade when these plants remain in low light over 2 months.  When used outdoors, Caladiums prefer partial or full shade in containers or ground beds,  They prefer a rich soil.  Caladiums planted outdoors should be dug before frost and will remain dormant over the winter.
